Amnesty International is in the process of verifying the information. In a letter to Urgent Action appeal writers, the minister, Jean de Dieu Mucyo, says that Edouard Mpabuka is in Gisenyi Central Prison, accused of genocide. He had been reported "disappeared" on 8 November 1999. Many thanks to all who sent appeals.
