India's Allegations Unfounded, says Pakistan Via NY Transfer News * All the News That Doesn't Fit India's Allegations Unfounded, says Pakistan ISLAMABAD, Dec 18 (AFP)--The Pakistan government on Tuesday expressed regret at new accusations from India of Pakistani involvement in an attack on Indian Parliament and offered to take part in a joint inquiry. "Unfortunately, we continue to hear all kinds of unfounded accusations from New Delhi," said Pakistani Government Information Secretary Anwar Mahmood. India's Home Minister L.K. Advani earlier Tuesday blamed Pakistan for sponsoring last week's suicide attack on Parliament that left 13 dead, including five attacking gunmen. In the government's first formal statement in Parliament on the events of December 13, Advani said the attack was "the most audacious and most alarming act of terrorism during the two decades-long history of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in India". Mahmood said in response: "We regret Advani's statement." He added: "We have very categorically condemned this particular act of terrorism as we have condemned all other acts of terrorism around the world. We have repeatedly and categorically denied any Pakistani or Inter-Services Intelligence involvement in the attack. We have already offered a joint probe to get to the bottom of this incident and find out who were behind it." Mahmood said Pakistan would "cooperate fully with this joint team of investigation".
