Cuba takes message against blockade, terrorism and war

"We are going to the Ibero-American Summit with the aspiration of
participating in a broad, profound and open discussion," stated
Foreign Minister Felipe Pérez Roque before his departure for Peru.

He added that the summit will deal with aspects of the current
economic and social situation in the world, and the international
crisis aggravated by the war in Afghanistan, of which Latin America
and the Caribbean are the main victims.

"We are going with the aspiration of taking Cuba's message supporting
respect for international law, against all kinds of blockades and
aggressions, against terrorism, but also against war," Pérez Roque
explained.

He said that they are also taking the Cuban people's message of moral
strength and optimism, in its constant battle to overcome all types
of external aggression and natural disasters in these years.

He added that the visit to Cuba by the European Union troika is still
set for November 30, and that on Wednesday Cuba received notice that
the visit would be personally headed once again by Belgian Foreign
Minister Louis Michel. (AIN)
