Opinion polls had shown Ortega running neck and neck with conservative ruling party candidate Enrique Bolanos going into Sunday's election and there were concerns that a slow vote and a tight race could cause tensions, or even post-election violence. But Ortega said he fully accepted the vote returns that had him trailing Bolanos by several percentage points. ================================================================= NY Transfer News Collective * A Service of Blythe Systems Since 1985 - Information for the Rest of Us 339 Lafayette St., New York, NY 10012 http://www.blythe.org e-mail: nyt@blythe.org ================================================================= nytcamer-11.05.01-14:19:04-2991
