O'Hearn's diplomatic visa has been reinstated, but the Navy is still trying to find a way to eject him from Ecuador. He will be flying to the U.S. Consulate in Guyaquil, Ecaudor, later this week with another Sea Shepherd crewmember to attempt to get a final resolution to the matter "We are satisfied that our liaison to the Galapagos National Park has been released, and that we can therefore continue to fulfill the terms of our contract with the Park for conservation patrols of the Galapagos Marine Reserve with our patrol boat Sirenian," said Sea Shepherd president Paul Watson.
