Derry IRSP statement on Loyalist threats Via NY Transfer News * All the News That Doesn't Fit source - IRSP Derry IRSP Press Release 4 June 2001 Derry IRSP on Loyalist Threats The Irish Republican Socialist Party urge all persons formerly associated with the Republican Socialist Movement to exercise caution and step up security arrangements following the announcement that a number of peoples details were found to be in the hands of loyalists. Members of the RUC visited a number of homes on the west bank of Derry and informed people that their personal details were in the hands of loyalists. Some of those visited by the RUC were formerly associated with the Republican Socialist Movement. The IRSP in Derry again urge all those living in vulnerable areas to keep their guard up against this latest loyalist threat and we stress that it should not be taken lightly. Although loyalists have a proven history of random sectarian attacks, these threats against individuals should be taken seriously.
