Bishop Ambalavanar expires in Jaffna

Bishop Ambalavanar (retired) of the Church of South India died at 10
a.m today (Oct 10) in the Jaffna hospital of ilness.

He was chairman of the Jaffna College's board of directors. He became
bishop in 1971 and retired in 1993. Bishop Ambalavanar was born in
1928.
