Mexico's deputy chief prosecutor, Jose Luis Ramos, told reporters that Chapa Bezanilla's extradition from Spain was not part of an exchange for Spanish Basque militants living in Mexico. Chapa Bezanilla is accused of perjury and falsifying documents in connection with his investigation of Colosio's murder.
