1986 Sinn Fein Ard-Fheis ON PBS
TUESDAY,  OCTOBER  21

The BBC television series 'Provos' will be broadcast in a condensed two-hour
version on US television on Tuesday next, October 21. It will be on PBS
(Channel 13) and it will be titled 'Frontline and Behind the Mask'.

There have been mixed reviews of the complete four-hour programme shown in
Britain and Ireland over the past four weeks.

The final programme 'Endgame' did however show the 1986 Ard-Fheis and stated
that the Provisionals had "recognised the 26-County State" in 1986 and were
trying to combine "constitutionalism and violence" after that.

It is worth a look, bearing in mind that part of its purpose is to make the
Provisionals feel important by consigning their military campaign to history
and not asking them any awkward questions about the current process/Stormont
talks for a new internal settlement.
