Defence Minister Ian McLachlan says the agreement expresses the common principles for defence relations between both countries, such as openness, transparency and support for democratic processes. Mr McLachlan says under the new defence partnership, joint activities will focus on strategic planning; management; and fundamental military skills such as leadership and discipline.
