LVF ISSUES DEATH THREAT TO MOWLAM

THE Loyalist Volunteer Force has issued a death threat 
against Secretary of State Mo Mowlam. Posters threatening Dr 
Mowlam were erected in an estate near Antrim town last 
night. Similar warnings were made to prominent loyalists 
Billy Hutchinson and David Ervine of the Progressive 
Unionist Party.

The posters picturing Dr Mowlam were signed by the LVF 
ruling army council and read: "Wanted - for the foul murder 
of leading loyalist Billy Wright - Mo Mowlam. Also 
responsible for all other murders and military action taken 
by the LVF in direct retaliation for the state-sponsored 
assassination of our comrade whilst a POW in HMP Maze." 


Northern Ireland Security Minister Adam Ingram branded the 
threats as "despicable and outrageous". "I condemn this 
without reservation and I know I speak for the vast majority 
when I do so."
