Mr ToGuata said yesterday there is no way the crisis will be solved and peace restored if all those concerned have different views and agendas. He said: ``There has to be one common understanding about peace among all those involved. ``There is no way we can solve a problem if all of us who are involved do not agree with each other.'' He said the Bougainville crisis was prolonged partly by the BTG, BIG/BRA, Security forces and the National Government having different ideas, plans and even agendas on how to deal with Bougainville. He said this must never happen again, especially at this point in time when lasting peace is around the corner. He said that at the various peace talks in Burnham, Cairns and Lincoln, he had tried to emphasise to all parties that they must agree. Meanwhile, the Bougainville Transitional Government has embarked on a two-week awareness campaign to tell the people about the outcome of the various peace talks. Premier Gerard Sinato said all BTG members have left for their various constituencies to tell their people. He said under the agreement, the BIG/BRA will carry out similar campaigns in rebel controlled areas. ================================================================= NY Transfer News Collective * A Service of Blythe Systems Since 1985 - Information for the Rest of Us 339 Lafayette St., New York, NY 10012 http://www.blythe.org e-mail: nyt@blythe.org ================================================================= nytpac-02.05.98-01:12:16-19054
