AMC appeals to the leadership of the subcontinent to peacefully resolve the issue of Kashmir. The President of AMC, Dr. Nazir Khaja said: "AMC is greatly concerned with the recent development in Kashmir. Human rights violations against civilians by India have accelerated in recent past. The indiscriminant attack on civilian population in Kargil must stop immediately." Dr. Khaja calls upon India to allow the world media and human rights organizations access to cover the events. The Director of AMC, Aly R. Abuzaakouk welcomes the move of peace talks between the two nations, and encourages India to respond positively to Pakistan's initiative.
