The activists are staging a two-day demonstration, beginning today, to stress their points. Kyodo News reported that at least 200 organizations supporting the victims are calling for the government to provide relief for patients and for the courts to expedite lawsuits related to pollution-based diseases. The activists have submitted a petition to Environment Agency chief Kenji calling for the reconstruction of polluted regions and measures to tackle dioxin pollution.
