SOA Watch/EPICA/Witness for Peace
                             Delegation

               to Chiapas and Guatemala 

                          August 14-29, 1999

This delegation will travel to Chiapas, Mexico, and Guatemala, regions
that have suffered terribly from SOA-sponsored violence. Delegates
will meet with survivors, human rights activists, and organizations
working to build a new relationship with the United States based on
respect for human rights. They will visit massacre sites, exhumation
sites and other areas of significance to conmemorate and honor the the
memories of victims of SOA graduates. They will also learn about the
current economic and political realities and will personally witness
how US policies affect ongoing efforts for reconciliation and lasting
peace.

COST: Estimated cost for 16 days is $1270 plus airfare. This fee
covers all meals, accomodations, transportation in Chiapas and
Guatemala--including airfare between Mexico City and Chiapas-- as well
as translation and training costs.
