Women's delegation to Guatemala 6/99 Via NY Transfer News Collective * All the News that Doesn't Fit source - nicanet@igc.org STITCH and The Network in Solidarity with the People of Guatemala (NISGUA) are co-sponsoring a language school delegation to Guatemala for women organizers and activists June 19-27, 1999. The cost will be $900 plus airfare to Guatemala City. Part of the day will be in language studies, part in visiting labor, women's and community organizations. A two-day visit to the banana growing area is planned and the group will have an opportunity to meet with women banana workers. STITCH is a network that supports Guatemalan and Central American working women. NISGUA has worked in solidarity with the Guatemalan people for many years.
