Abortion rights demo, Brooklyn 5/15 Via NY Transfer News Collective * All the News that Doesn't Fit source - vickirov@worldnet.att.net Spend two hours defending women's right to choose! On Saturday, May 15, the bishop of Brooklyn will bring about 200 anti-abortion protesters to for a semi-annual convergence on the Ambulatory Surgery Center in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. In the Bishops last event, on the morning after Dr. Barnett Slepian was murdered in Buffalo, about 20 pro-choice people gathered at the clinic to oppose them. The clinic staff was thrilled, that for the first time, they didn't have to face the crowd alone. This time, the clinic director has asked us to mobilize more people and send a stronger pro-choice message. Help make a public show of pro-choice sentiment at this clinic which has been under siege by anti-abortion protesters for 11 years. Bring pro-choice signs in English and Spanish. Saturday, May 15 8:00 am - 9:45 am. Ambulatory Surgery Center, corner 3rd Avenue and 43rd street, Sunset Park, Brooklyn. (Take R train to 45th Street at 4th Avenue).
