CULLYBACKEY WINS N. IRELAND WEB AWARDS CATEGORY

Cullybackey Environmental Improvement Association have just won the
"Community Category Award" in the first ever "N. Ireland Web Awards"
competition sponsored by "The Belfast Telegraph," Compaq, Microsoft and BT.

The site creator, Albert McKendry, was presented with the award on Tuesday
11th May at a glittering lunch and ceremony at the Waterfront Hall, Belfast.
The awards are designed to recognise the quality of locally produced
websites on the Internet.

Cullybackey's site can be accessed at: www.antrim.net/Cullybackey  and
contains a wealth of information on the village.  Everything, from
historical views of the community, through contemporary views, accommodation
for tourists, Arthur Cottage (ancestral home of Chester Alan Arthur, 21st
President of the USA) is covered, and more besides.

Mr. McKendry expressed his surprise and delight at the recognition afforded
to his creation.  The web site is regularly visited by browsers from all
over the world, especially the USA, and is continually being updated.
Cullybackey is as near as a "click" on your computer, no matter where you
are situated in the world.  Truly part of the global village on the net!
