ROSEMARY NELSON HONOURED POSTHUMOUSLY

Rosemary Nelson, the Lurgan solicitor killed in a bomb attack has been
honoured posthumously by a leading human rights organisation. The group
called JUSTICE made the award in recognition of what they described as
great courage in doing her job as a defence lawyer.  At a private
ceremony in 11 Downing Street last night, Gordon Brown presented the
award to Rosemary Nelson's husband, Paul.  Also last night, the US House
of Representatives passed a resolution calling on the British Government
to hold an independent inquiry into the killing.  Today, the Rosemary
Nelson campaign has taken out a full-page advert in the Irish Times
calling on the Irish Government to support that campaign
