RUC INVESTIGATE THREE ARSON ATTACKS Via NY Transfer News Collective * All the News that Doesn't Fit source - "John Navin" RUC INVESTIGATE THREE ARSON ATTACKS 06/01/99 09:58 EST The Royal Ulster Constabulary are investigating a petrol=20 bomb attack on a house in the Waterside area of Derry last=20 night. A spokesman said the incident happened shortly before=20 midnight when the device struck the outside wall of the=20 house in Sperrin Park, causing scorch damage. No one was=20 injured in the attack which the RUC say they are treating as=20 sectarian. The RUC are also investigating two attacks in Antrim and=20 Strabane. A couple and their two children suffered minor=20 injury from smoke inhalation after an explosion at the front=20 of their house at Corbally Park in Antrim just before=20 midnight. They had just gone to bed but were alerted by the=20 noise. They called the fire brigade and escaped by the back=20 door. The fire caused minor damage to the front door and=20 hall and the front window was broken. British Army bomb=20 experts removed parts of a device for further examination.=20 Police say they have yet to establish a motive for the=20 incident. Meanwhile, an incident in Strabane early this morning is=20 thought to have been sectarian. The RUC say there was an=20 attempted arson attack at a house at Moorlough Road around=20 2.00am. A 62 year-old woman and her four sons were awoken by=20 the sound of breaking glass.
