This annual event RIGHTEOUSLY demands the release of these INNOCENT MOVE 9 political prisoners who this government wants to rot away in prison, as well as all political prisoners, and exposes the U.S. Government and its lackeys in Philadelphia as the murderous criminals who orchestrated and perpetrated all of the violence on that day. WE WILL NEVER FORGET! =============================> AN OPEN LETTER TO THE PEOPLE My name is Debbie Africa, one of the MOVE 9. I am writing this open letter to the people because I have been hearing a lot about LaVerne Sims and Louise James being on the radio trying to convince people that Pam Africa is wrong for supporting Mumia Abu-Jamal the way she do; trying to rally the public and the news media against MOVE and discourage people from coming together to fight for Mumia's life. I want to make it clear that LaVerne Sims and Louise James are *not* MOVE members. They have not been MOVE members since 1984 and they know nothing about the activities of MOVE or JOHN AFRICA's revolutionary strategy for Mumia, yet they are always trying to get in MOVE business; always trying to tell us what to do, when to do it, and who we should support, and because we won't do things *their* way, they are trying to hurt MOVE people, hurt Mumia. LaVerne and Louise ain't concerned with gettin' justice for MOVE; all they want to do is start trouble with the MOVE ORGANIZATION, and try to tear the Organization down like they been tryna do since 1984. LaVerne and Louise are giving the appearance that they want to help MOVE and defend JOHN AFRICA by going on the radio, telling the public that Pam Africa is disloyal to MOVE and JOHN AFRICA; that's just a front, a lie, to try to fool people; trying to keep people from knowing the truth about what they're really trying to do. LaVerne and Louise want to run the MOVE ORGANIZATION. They want people to listen to them, look up to them and do what *they* say because they think they know something, think they got the solution, but they don't. JOHN AFRICA got the solution. All they've ever done is *mis*lead people and *cause* problems. They ain't interested in helping people; ain't interested in justice, revolution, like JOHN AFRICA. They don't care about justice for the MOVE 9 no more than they care about saving Mumia's life. Pam Africa is gathering support for Mumia, using the teaching of JOHN AFRICA for the purpose of revolution to stop these politicians from enslavin' people, murderin' people in the word of legality and fighting to bring justice for *all* through the example of Mumia. LaVerne and Louise are just jealous, resentful, and bitter at Pam Africa because they are too weak to do the work Pam is doing and they are resentful of Mumia because they are not getting the attention Mumia is getting; so they want to pick, criticize, hurt Mumia, MOVE and try to tear down every effort that MOVE makes to be *right* and do the work that's necessary for ourselves and JOHN AFRICA's REVOLUTION; so don't be fooled by the lies LaVerne and Louise be telling to try and get people to listen to them. They are *dangerous*, *treacherous* and will go to *any* length to have their way. Since they want to continue to try to hurt MOVE, try to bring us down in the face of the public, we have no choice but to defend ourselves to the public and expose them for the dangerous *threat* they are. People need to *understand* this and stop feeding them your energy, don't give them your ear. LaVerne Sims and Louise James turned traitor to JOHN AFRICA and MOVE in 1984, they sold MOVE *and* JOHN AFRICA out! They worked as police informants against MOVE and JOHN AFRICA with their lies and deceit, which ultimately gave the city of Philadelphia and the *cops* the *excuse* they wanted to drop that bomb on innocent MOVE men, women, and babies, May 13, 1985. Their hands are just as bloody as the government that dropped that bomb and murdered our family May 13th! Don't be fooled by these two *phonies*. Louise had a son in the house May 13, and knew what the city wanted to do to MOVE, and Louise and LaVerne helped them murder her own son. Anytime somebody will put their *own* child's life in danger, you *know* they don't care about somebody who *ain't* of their own flesh and blood; they *can't*! They ain't got nothin' in them for *nobody*. They're going along *with* this system to try to stop MOVE and our work to save Mumia's life. If they were sincere they would be spending their time and energy with things that will stop this system from creatin' incidents like May 13, incidents like Diallo, Louima's, and Mumia's; fighting against this racist, sadistic, insane, enslavin system, not fighting against those who are fighting *for* freedom. Since the May 13 bombing, LaVerne and Louise have written the MOVE 9 letters full of hopelessness, tryna make us give up, they harass MOVE people on the street, call MOVE houses, all times of the day and night, threaten MOVE people over the phone, talkin about creatin a situation that will cause *another* May 13 so MOVE people can be killed. They curse MOVE people at shopping centers, collected money in the name of the MOVE children murdered May 13 and spent it on cars and furniture, went to MOVE houses screaming and hollering obscenities at MOVE people, MOVE children, curse the Seeds of Wisdom, tried to *discourage* them from *encouraging* young kids to be strong, to be respectful; they have sent threatening letters so full of hate and racism to the MOVE 9, that the Dallas Prison administration refused to give the letters to Delbert and Phil Africa and sent the letters back. These two phonies drive up to MOVE houses and park outside their houses for periods of time, these demons have tried to turn MOVE people against our sister Pam, discourage Mumia supporters; they have physically disrupted public meetings held for Mumia and put an all out campaign to stop Mumia supporters from coming to Phila. on April 24 for the millions-for- Mumia march ... and more. LaVerne and Louise are *actively engaged* in trying to build an army against us, using the excuse that Pam Africa is wrong for putting all of her energy into fighting for Mumia's life, because Mumia is not a MOVE member, and that MOVE is wrong for not stopping Pam. When Mumia was arrested in 1981; when nobody would fight for Mumia, JOHN AFRICA did, and at the time THE COORDINATOR JOHN AFRICA directed MOVE people to adopt Mumia as our brother and hand picked Pam Africa, coordinated Pam to work solely for Mumia, to do *everything* she could do to insure justice for Mumia. That is what Pam has done and is still doing. Now what can LaVerne and Louise be complaining about if they claim they believe in JOHN AFRICA. Anybody who say they *believe* in freedom, justice, righteousness, must believe in JOHN AFRICA's REVOLUTION against oppression, repression and wrong. People must understand how urgent this fight is and accept this; Anybody that believe in justice, freedom is obligated to support this revolution, not just for Mumia, for the MOVE 9, but for yourselves, your mother, fathers, children and their children, because this system don't just oppress, murder, poor folks, or MOVE; this ain't a MOVE issue, this is an issue of justice. This system is oppressing *everybody* and it's past time for everybody to get on the MOVE for the purpose of revolution. This crystallizes the point I am making about LaVerne and Louise because if they believed in JOHN AFRICA like they claim they do they would believe in the *work* JOHN AFRICA have prescribed for Mumia and MOVE, but they *don't*. In fact, they are trying to undermine the work that we are doing. They are liars because they *know* THE COORDINATOR coordinated this activity for Mumia, and they themselves took part *in* some of the activities *for* Mumia. LaVerne and Louise are liars, they ain't comin' at Pam out of loyalty to JOHN AFRICA and MOVE they are comin' at Pam out of *hate*; they are just using this situation as an *excuse* to justify their hate to hurt MOVE; like they have always done. In 1984, they went to the cops against JOHN AFRICA, tried to prove JOHN AFRICA wrong and tried to turn the entire MOVE ORGANIZATION and others *against* JOHN AFRICA! What they are doing to Pam ain't no different, because it's not about Pam. They want to *destroy* MOVE. April 24, 1996 is the day that President Clinton signed the "Effective Death Penalty Act" in an effort to give Mumia a lot less room to fight for his freedom. April 24 just happened to be Mumia's birthdate. People were encouraged to gather on this day of the effective death penalty act to *protest* against this act of legalized murder. What difference does it make what brings the masses of people together when they are coming together for the purpose of revolution! What's important is that people all over the world from every race, every religion, and every walk of life is uniting as *one* force to fight for freedom, for righteousness. THIS IS REVOLUTION! If LaVerne and Louise don't like the way MOVE do things that's they're problem. We are doing what JOHN AFRICA have coordinated MOVE to do and that is to support Mumia, and we're gonna keep doin' it! If LaVerne and Louise were sincere about fighting for the MOVE 9, like they are trying to make people believe they are, they would not be holding hands, once again, with the system to try to hurt MOVE like they are doing; trying to destroy this Organization. LaVerne and Louise are fighting MOVE, that's how you know they ain't serious about being right, about freeing the MOVE 9, about believing in JOHN AFRICA. The force behind Mumia don't start and stop with Pam Africa or MOVE. The force that's being generated to Mumia and the masses of people is being coordinated by the *power* of MOVE's belief, the power of JOHN AFRICA! This is the voice MOVE listen to, this is the message we hear, this is the direction we obey and the direction MOVE will continue to obey, because it is the direction of our safety, which is coordinated by JOHN AFRICA THE COORDINATOR OF MOVE, and we ain't lettin LaVerne or Louise tell us we're wrong for that. The MOVE ORGANIZATION is working *hard* for the MOVE 9 and Mumia. I know the loyalty our MOVE family got for us; we *know* the work they are putting into fighting for our release. We *know* the *dedication*, *loyalty*, *unwavering commitment* that our MOVE family has to us and JOHN AFRICA, because JOHN AFRICA put loyalty in us, we are committed because JOHN AFRICA put commitment in us, JOHN AFRICA have put the power of determination in us, fixed the order of dedication around us, explained the principle of obligation to us, and instilled in us the meaning of devotion. LONG LIVE JOHN AFRICA! LaVerne and Louise want to criticize Pam and MOVE when they hear Pam talk about Mumia, always asking what MOVE is doing for the MOVE 9, but I don't ever hear about LaVerne and Louise on the air talking about the MOVE 9 themselves or JOHN AFRICA. All they ever do is criticize, curse Pam and MOVE and tell a bunch of lies about us but I never hear about them traveling all over the world to put out JOHN AFRICA's teaching like MOVE does; all they talk about is Pam. LaVerne and Louise will *talk* about what we ain't doing, but when come time to *do* what they claim we ain't doin' they are *still* talkin', (not that we ever asked them to, or expect them to), but this is why I *resent* LaVerne and Louise because they *are not* sincere, they *know* the *effort*, *time*, *energy*, *work*, the MOVE ORGANIZATION is giving for our freedom, for Mumia's *life* yet they are still *misleading* the public, lying to the people about MOVE. They are still trying to make people believe that MOVE is disloyal to the MOVE 9 and they *know* it ain't true. The work MOVE is doing is demandin', urgent; not only is our MOVE family burning *exorbitant* amounts of *energy* on us, the Organization has now got to divert some of that energy from the fight for the MOVE 9 and Mumia to clear up this mess they are making. On top of all this Louise and LaVerne have yet to show *any* kind of remorse for what they have done to MOVE and JOHN AFRICA for their involvement in the May 13, 1985 bombing. Now I ask you, are these the kinds of people that sound like *they* are *truthful* about *anything*? Do these sound like the kinds of people that should be listened to? I could go on a lot longer but I choose not to. I feel this is all that is necessary to make the public aware of them and their treacherous intentions.
