The Alouette-type helicopter was travelling between the Abouzar oil drilling platform and the port city of Bushehr when it went down after a mechanical failure, the report said. Contrary to earlier reports, the television said the pilot was killed in the crash and that an injured passenger was rescued and had been hospitalised. Another three passengers are still missing, and a local official was quoted as saying search and rescue operations were continuing.
