ATLANTA, May 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Department of the Treasury
has granted the Georgia Department of Agriculture a license to travel
to Cuba, Tommy Irvin, Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture, announced
today.

"The license is for the purpose of organizing fact-finding missions
on behalf of Georgia's agribusinesses who are currently selling to
Cuba or would like to sell there," said Commissioner Irvin.

"We have led two successful fact-finding missions to Cuba.  This will
facilitate further missions," said Irvin.

"As the nation's leading producer of poultry, much of the interest
has been in that industry, but there has also been interest in our
turfgrasses, timber, and our other products.

"We look forward to continuing to open the markets of the world for
our farmers and agribusiness community," said Irvin.  "This license
will greatly enhance our efforts."
