Some of the Israeli secret agents were based in the same cities as the alleged Al-Qaeda providers of logistic support who planned the attacks of September 11, according to U.S. investigators who opened the case in April of 2001. However, that coincidence is, at this moment, only a working hypothesis and it has not been determined whether it was casual or if the Mosad agents knew that the ones responsible for the logistic support were plotting something, according to "Intelligence On line." The French magazine, which asserts to have had access to the Department of Justice information, pointed out that the U.S. has uncovered or expelled 120 Israeli citizens connected to this case.
