Violations of Iraq airspace continue

Baghdad, May 25 (INA)--The U.S and British warplanes carried out on
Thursday, 23 May, 27 sorties from Kuwaiti airspace backed by an
AWACS, which came from Saudi airspace.

A spokesman for Iraqi Air Defense Command said that the warplanes
flew over the areas of Bissiya, Salman and Ashbicha. Then the
warplanes returned to their bases in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, the
spokesman added.

Since December 17, 1998 up to May 24, 2002, the enemy warplanes
carried out a total of 38685 sorties from Saudi, Kuwaiti and Turkish
airspace, of which 12577 sorties [originated] from Kuwaiti airspace.
