The Party will never be paralyzed and the road to follow is clear, because it has unity in the great leadership of President Gonzalo, the Basis of Party Unity, the Strategic Plan of Development and the People's War....Always keep in mind the glorious work of 11 years of People's War; the People's War cannot be stopped."Partido Comunista del Perú (PCP) May 17th, an historic moment, marks the 17 anniversary of the Initiation of the Armed Struggle (ILA-80), the invincible People's War in Peru, which continues its unstoppable advance toward the conquest of power countrywide.
Our people know consciously and completely that the wheel of history cannot be detained, that's why they continue to struggle heroically alongside the PCP striving for a new dawn to come. The People's War is continuing to undermine and demolish the old state, and their reactionary, opportunist and revisionist bedfellows. They are blindly lashing out in desperation with their black dreams of trying to contain and stop the development of the People's War. President Gonzalo, great leader of the PCP, at the initiation of the Armed Struggle called on all the Party to: "Never drop the banners of the revolution until Communism. Even if the superpowers and powers come, armed to the teeth with their powerful weapons, we Communists know what we want and why we fight; nothing can nor should detain us in the completion of the Party's objectives to serve the people, the proletariat and the World Revolution."
Following his example and his ideas formed as Gonzalo Thought, the People's War is marching unstoppable to conquer power and its development is inevitable. The People's War has advanced and so too have the repression of the genocidal armed forces who dream of annihilating us, who dream of drowning us and the revolution in blood. The old state is expressing its desperation in its low intensity war, carrying out their plans of genocide, their bombardment of the so-called "Sender bunkers"; the rocket attacks and air bombings against the People's Committees, "final battles", "sendero is split," "sendero is no longer a threat to the State,"etc . The fact is that they couldn't and won't be able to stop the invincible People's War, which is confronting and crushing all the cackling of the genocidal and sellout dictatorship, the genocidal armed forces and the puppet Fujimori, the most unchecked servant of imperialism, mainly Yankee imperialism. They also dreamed that the proletarian class would sell out its Party and revolution by launching a sinister counterrevolutionary hoax. To this end, in collusion with few opportunists [most of them in prison and outside the Party, TNF] viciously slandered President Gonzalo that he was calling for a "peace accord," and would derail and abandon the road of the People's War. They have been reduced to a handful of revisionists and capitulators, who have been asking the reactionaries for reconciliation and liberty to preserve the old State and continue being exploited and oppressed.
This event has served the Party to reaffirm itself in the Great Leadership of President Gonzalo, in revolutionary violence, the Basis of Party Unity, and for the PCP to be purged and fortified. Therefore, it is very important to keep in mind and greet with revolutionary jubilation the heroism and the unyielding struggle of the masses in the Base Areas to maintain the New Power. It is an example for the Peruvian people, the organized masses are the only and true power on the face of the earth, as long as they are led by the Communist Party. The advance of the People's War, overcoming the bend in the road, developing the People's War, is stirring up the polarization of the class struggle. The struggle of the masses with massive, violent demonstrations of the workers, street vendors, construction workers, etc., the polarization of the contradictions within the big bourgeoisie (the comprador and bureaucratic factions), and among their own internal groups, a complex and bitter struggle within the heart of the big bourgeoisie, expresses a very profound crisis, the worst in the history of the old Peruvian state which it cannot escape. All these are clear proof of the revolutionary situation in growing development and that we are marching toward the revolutionary crisis. Finally, we say that the People's War will inevitably triumph, and will be an important contribution to the development of the World Proletarian Revolution, always guiding ourselves with Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, Gonzalo Thought, keeping the banners of the People's War on high, and overcoming the difficulties, we will conquer victory after victory and imperialism, reaction and revisionism will be swept away and converted into a few, dark ashes by the omnipotent, Marxist-Leninist-Maoist, Gonzalo Thought People's War of the broad masses of people.
