PRESIDENT GONZALO: EXAMPLE OF PROLETARIAN FIGHTER

The oppressors of all shades, blood thirsty paper tigers who are hungry for exploitation, are feasting on the capture of President Gonzalo. Despite the boasting of the enemy that the capture was due to their "new strategy," this was an event of pure chance, which is nothing more than a bend on the road, an occupational hazard of all revolutionaries. This fact, like a great saint's miracle, had temporarily brought together the reactionaries. Among them were the vindictive genocidal generals of the armed forces and the police and with them, their revisionist cronies of the bogus "left." These political warts whose fate is linked to the interests of their Yankee imperialist master, have done nothing other than show the world their abject servility.

Desperately, the vile Dictator Alberto Fujimori and his CIA handlers, has unleashed a psychological campaign, framed within the "low intensity warfare" against our people, in a futile attempt to undermine the morale of the fighters.

This mediocre imperialist puppet blabbers his hatred against the people by promoting a poisonous "law of repentance," and boasts about having captured "Sendero's high rank. He stupidly dreamt that with this and his foul-smelling hoaxes he will "annihilate" the invincible People's War. However, once again, the black dreams of reaction and imperialism are crushed by the demolishing actions of the organized masses, who under the leadership of the Communist Party of Peru, march uncontainably to their inalterable goal: the conquest of power countrywide.

The People's War, the heroic epic of the oppressed masses, advances victoriously, developing its plans and fulfills its political tasks of rocking the old rotten State. In almost 18 years of armed struggle it is forging in deeds the New Power, and the establishment of the seeds of the People's Republic of Perú.

BOURGEOIS PRESS: SEWER OF IMPERIALISM

The reactionary press, a sewer of imperialism, poured abundant ink about the capture of President Gonzalo; the tale was that with this capture, all of the country's problems were going to be solved, the arrival of foreign investments and credits, the privatization of State enterprises; the financial backing of the IMF, the World Bank and of many other imperialist organizations. They blamed President Gonzalo and the PCP as the cause of all ills of the country. They fabricated hoax after hoax to announce his "capitulation" and "call for peace talks" in order to discredit him. But their dark designs have clashed with the defense that the fighting masses make of the greatest living Marxist-Leninist-Maoist on Earth. Today, it is clear they have failed miserably to reinvigorate the old State and to solve the critical problems of their corrupt society.

CLASHES WITHIN THE FACTIONS OF THE BOURGEOISIE.

The contradictions in the midst of the big bourgeoisie turn each time more unsustainable. The big comprador bourgeoisie is displacing the bureaucratic bourgeoisie from the productive activity, becoming the guide of the financial capital. This is reflected in the political activity seeing around the subservient Congress, the exposure of death squads, the involvement of high- level military chiefs in narcotrafficking, the lack of preventive measures and later abandonment of hundreds of poor communities affected by "El Niño." Instead of addressing these critical problems, the two factions of the big bourgeoisie try to "arrange" their differences in a "legal" manner and, mainly, to show to the people an appearance of legality. In reality, their objective is to prolong the exploitation, the hunger, the genocide against the people.

The people's road is other. It is its luminous and unstoppable advance. The thousands of People's Committees through our territory multiply defiantly and challenge imperialism and reaction, surrounding the cities from the countryside. In 1997, the stunning actions of the People's Army of Liberation countrywide, mainly in the countryside and in Lima, hit hard military and economic targets, implementing armed strikes in the interior, all of these actions once again caused the teeth of the reactionaries to chatter, and prepare the insurrection in the cities.

Unlike the sell out Fujimori -a human waste who implores imperialism to halt the "terrorist campaign" of "Sendero's supporters abroad" or "extradite Peruvians abroad," and pleads to all foreign powers to intervene. The People's War, on the other hand, is empowered and develops itself into a road for the people's liberation, as President Gonzalo, leader of the Peruvian revolution has pointed out.

All the blends of reactionaries, traitors and renegades of the revolution will never be able to erase or ignore the contributions of Gonzalo thought to the class and the people, besides the high morale of President Gonzalo, who, confined to the dungeons of the genocidal hyenas, teaches with his example never to bend ourselves.

Let us learn from the heroic Prisoners of War in Cantogrande-Lima who sent their revolutionary greetings to the peoples of the world: "THE WAR IS TO DEATH. No body surrenders here. We will demolish the old and rotten Peruvian society and install the PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF PERÚ. That's our goal and we will fulfill it."

HANDS OFF OUR COMRADES!

Although Chairman Gonzalo
is buried in an
underground dungeon,
he stands at the head
of tens of thousands
of peasant masses
who fight on
to victory.

As the death of the old state
comes nearer,
the criminals put
ground glass and kerosene
in the one meal a day
to the 2500 prisoners
of war.

Prisoners,
chained 23 hours a day,
naked in ten degrees below,
sleeping on
concrete floors,
dying of torture, beatings, TB,
facing murder every day.

Their only crime is
to practice,
"It's a right to rebel"
and fight
against reactionaries
who've treated the peasant
masses like starving dogs
for 500 years.

These former despised
now stand up, with guns in hand
and Red ideology
in command. They
give birth to the New Perú.
They are going to win,
while the criminals
are going to lose.

Yankee money, guns, poison gas, bacteria,
secret police, troops can't
stop this ocean of armed
comrades engulfing them
and their army of lackeys.

Chairman Gonzalo
and comrades stand between us
and the other Fujimori butchers
all over the New World Order.

Take up the slogan,
"It is right to rebel"
Help break down the prison walls
to save
our sisters and brothers
standing in the front line
in far off Peru.
Defeat the reactionaries
at home and place
Chairman Gonzalo
in his rightful place
at the head of millions
who yearn to build
a truly new world.

A mighty respectable
humane organization,
They speak with great
moral rectitude
defending prisoners
all over the world.

Not if they happen
to be communists,
not if they threaten
private property,
not if they take up arms;
or fight for liberation
and alter the status quo.

Their suited officials
cunningly spread the fire,
blame both sides,
give underhand praise
to butchers,
hide the crimes
of traitors,
keep the lid on
with deceit and lies,
and defend the "right"
of the dictators
to put down
insurrection.
A.I., the darling
of the yellow press,
and Yankee imperialism.

Melbourne-Australia, May 1, 1993.

To Chairman Gonzalo!

They threw you in a tomb
in an underground cell
They doubled and tripled the guards outside
upon all mouths
the ironworks of State terror.

They packed your comrades in other cells
Commoners, of the People
of the Party and of sacrifice.

Is the vigor, humanity, the future of Peru-
in jail?
Are the hopes of the poor and oppressed
in prison.?

Is this the only way
supporters of the criminal regime
-stool pigeons, bankers, and Yankees
can feel secure?

No way! Hope, vigor-
birds that flutter
pass through the bars
and soar far away.

They reach far away
to Lima's shanty towns
They reach the People's Army
the units that are continuing
the undefeated People's War.

Passing the borders
they reach the ends of the world
To bring the message of revolution
all over the world.
This is the victorious and glorious message
of the armed struggle.

Chairman Gonzalo, Comrades of Perú,
you are not alone!
