AVAKIAN'S DOUBLE GAME

1983. The RCP-USA (Chairman Avakian) gets in touch with the PCP and invites it to subscribe to the 1982 Declaration. President Gonzalo makes note and explains to Avakian:
- That the RIM confronts many unsolved problems and that its Marxist-Leninist - Mao-tse tung Thought political line is incorrect.
- That consequently the PCP cannot join it but as a fraction.
- It is necessary to note that the Committee of the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement (the coordinating committee or CoRIM) aims to impose on the PCP an incorrect Marxist-Leninist, Mao Tse-tung Thought line, which enables one to observe the existence of a hegemonic tendency as part of CoRIM.
1988. Five years after the intervention of President Gonzalo pointed out earlier, an article appears in the RIM magazine, A World to Win (AWTW), No. 1988/12 in which suddenly appears: "Marxism-Leninism-Maoism: New Document by the RCP/USA," with the following heading: RCP-USA Resolution. Greetings the RIM. Meaning, congratulating the RIM for the correctness of the line in the 1984 Declaration!
THE FALSE FRIENDS OF THE PCP AND THE PERUVIAN PEOPLE
After President Gonzalo was arrested and jailed under horrible
conditions of confinement, he was only offered a "tribune" once, in
which, despite everything, he was able to address the Peruvian people
directly. At all times, he was restrained inside a tiger cage like a wild beast.
But that did not stop him from making a blazing speech, advising the PCP
to lead the People's War to fight until victory. After this masterful
coup, the tyrant, Fujimori, and his acolytes, aided by the CIA, prepared
the "peace agreement" hoax, to which ostensibly President Gonzalo
consented. If so, then why not offer President Gonzalo a tribune (a bit
more comfortable) to dispel all doubts? That simple inquiry demonstrates the
mental weakness of those who have allowed themselves to be trapped by
such a crude lie.
CoRIM, whose supreme leader is Avakian, chairman of the RCP/USA, has elaborated a "theory" about which they debate endlessly and which they themselves propagate, a "theory" which presupposes the existence of a two-line struggle in the midst of the PCP: the line upholding the "peace agreements" (the Fujimori line) and the one fighting against it. But, the "peace agreements" are but a hoax, a trap for the naive, a betrayal hatched by the enemy. A betrayal has never been found to be the base of the political line of a Communist Party. Thus, there can be no two-line struggle in the midst of the PCP on the "peace agreements."
All this hoopla by CoRIM and Avakian is aimed at confusing the spirit of honest communists spread out in the multitudes of flimsy organizations pretending to be communist, however none of which possess a correct political line. In Eastern Europe, the wrath of the masses was expressed by the demonstrations unleashed from Brest to the Urals and from north to south in the European continent. That way Avakian hurriedly launched his "Red Flag" newspaper, organ of the organization for the Reconstruction of the Communist Party of France (ORPCF).

2. In RIM's organ, A WORLD TO WIN (AWTW), No. 1988/12, it is necessary to study the article "Marxism-Leninism-Maoism" New Document of the RCP-USA with the following caption: RCP-USA Resolution Greeting RIM. Let us see what the first document says (President Gonzalo speaking):
"In the Autumn of 1982, thirteen communist Parties and
organizations subscribed to a declaration: 'To the Marxist-Leninists, to
the workers and oppressed in all countries' by which all communists are
called upon to unite around Marxism-Leninism and taking up President Mao
but without considering it a new stage and without having universal
validity, work conducted mainly by the Revolutionary Communist Party of
the U. S. A. (RCP-USA). In 1983, the RCP-USA got hold of the PCP and
invited it to subscribe to the 1980 declaration. The PCP did not agree
because the Thought of Mao Tse-tung was not considered there and
furthermore, we were already basing ourselves on Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.
In March of 1984, the second conference of these organizations took place,
where it was agreed upon to form the Revolutionary Internationalist
Movement (RIM) and approved a joint declaration that spoke about uniting
Marxism-Leninism-Mao-Tse-tung thought.
Our position on
incorporating the PCP to RIM is condensed in the letter written to the
Committee of the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement, of October of
1986. There are two matters that we would like to reiterate on this point. Firstly, from
the start of our relations the starting point of our divergence was the
substantial and a decisive problem of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism as the only,
true and a new stage of the development of the ideology of the proletariat,
of universal validity and mainly Maoism as key to the matter; and
consequently, our disagreement with the nomination of
Marxism-Leninism-Mao Tse-tung Thought. Nevertheless, we have considered and
consider that resolving this, which is for us an indispensable point of departure is complex,
requires time, especially to develop the revolution.
"'In second place, in subscribing to the Declaration derived from
the 2 (two) meetings which created RIM, we did it with observations and
even clear counter-positions, expressly formulated in brief form, as well
as reiterated in meetings, reports or communications which obviously show
differences on contradicting criteria about the role of the Movement, and
points even more importantly to the validity of People's War, an expression
of the proletarian military theory which recently with President Mao, the
class materialized fully and completely, as well as our insistence of
always raising the great slogan "Proletarians of all countries, unite."
Nevertheless, we considered and consider that the Declaration entailed
and even though entails, a base of relative unity whose development and improvement
demands the advancement of the Movement itself would demand, as the facts
are already overwhelmingly proven.
"Nowadays, there have been objections by some to the Declaration, as opportunistic
while others say it doesn't help to resolve urgent problems demanded by
the revolution and that therefore, a new declaration must be reached.
The PCP considers that MRI confronts problems on various levels:
on the ideological level, to advance in the understanding of
Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. This advancement is important, and
even the political development depends on it. Politically, to advance in
defining the fundamental contradictions and the principal one in the
world, the matter about the third world war, and that revolution is the
principal tendency, and in the event of an imperialist war to transform it
into a People's War, reconstruction, what alignments we must follow to
arrive at conforming to the International, we need and there must be a continuation
of the glorious International Communist Movement; of work by the masses. We
start from our slogans that "the masses make history" and "the colossal
garbage piles up" and that the mass work is to initiate or develop the
People's War, regarding leadership. This is key and requires time to
form and develop it and have recognized authority; with respect to the
two-line struggle. This is not handled the way it should be. These are problems
of development but unless handled justly and correctly they can become
problems of disarticulation and these negative possibilities cannot be anything less than
worrisome. We think that the Committee of the RIM aims at imposing
their denomination 'Marxism-Leninism-Mao tse-tung Thought' to enframe us
within the Declaration and to resolve the Committee's leadership problems
which leave room to think about the existence of hegemonic tendencies.
"Keeping this situation in mind, we reaffirm ourselves in the IV
National Conference of the PCP of October of 1986, to conduct ourselves
as a fraction inside the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement so that
Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, mainly Maoism, be the mandate and guidance of world
revolution and we call to uphold, defend and apply
Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, mainly Maoism! , Since only in that way will the
international proletariat be able through their Communist Parties to lead
the conquest of Power and to emancipate the oppressed so as to emancipate
themselves as a class. We are for the reconstruction of the Communist
International and consider the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement as
a step in that direction, and which will help as long as it is sustained
and continues a just and correct ideological political line. The struggle
to impose Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, mainly Maoism, as command and guidance
of world revolution, will be long, complex, and hard but in the end, we the
Marxist-Leninist-Maoists of the Earth will impose it because Marxism has
never been able to take a single step forward without struggles."
- The RIM confronts many problems, and that its political line of Marxism-Leninism-Mao Tse-tung thought is erroneous.
- For that reason the PCP cannot join the RIM except as a fraction.
- That the RIM aims at imposing on the PCP its denomination "Marxism-Leninism-Mao Tse-tung Thought," its incorrect political line which prompts one to wonder about the existence of a hegemonic tendency by part of CoRIM.
- In that case, the only correct position is to empale the betrayal on the pike of infamy.
- It is the least that can be said.
- That is, that after E. Hoxha attacked Mao in an infamous manner and fell in the field of the renegades, the Party of Labor of Albania could no longer be considered as an M-L-M Party.
