CAMPBELL'S SOUP: a la KAMENEV or a la ZINOVIEV

In the week of May 24, 1996, the United States House of Representatives approved a law prohibiting the CIA from employing US journalists in spy missions. "The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) will no longer be able to employ US journalists in spy missions... Nevertheless, nothing was said regarding foreign journalists, nor any restrictions are given for agents who disguise themselves as journalists..." informed the NY Times, Le Soir, El Pais, Le Monde and every major newspaper in North America and Europe.

By July 25, 1996, a "reporter" under the name of K.K. Campbell launched a revealing investigation through the Canadian Internet magazine "Toronto's Arts newspaper". Since the first week of July, this "arts newspaper" has suddenly become involved with political events in Peru, mainly because by June 1996 a Peruvian exile in the USA, Mr. J. Calero, was arrested by the FBI. What was Mr. Calero's crime? he had requested political asylum to the US government. In 1993 Mr. Calero's brother-in-law was tortured to death by the Peruvian police because he opposed Fujimori's terrorist regime.

On May 30, 1996, Mr. J. Calero was called to an immigration proceeding in court, but it was all a deception, the FBI arrested him as soon as he arrived and placed him for extradition to Peru. By June 1, Mr. Calero was completely incommunicated and under continuous interrogations; it is at this time that the "reporter" K.K. Campbell in "Toronto's Arts newspaper" suddenly starts a campaign of slanders and harassment against Mr. Calero's family and against anyone in the United States who may defend Mr. Calero and oppose Fujimori's terrorist regime. This week:

The Detectives Eye in Internet: Which pole flies K.K. Campbell?

One of Campbell's first actions was to harass Mr. Calero's family, so through his "arts newspaper" Campbell claimed that it was the publication The New Flag itself who had pointed Calero as one of its members (!). This is a complete lie. Actually, it was Adolfo Olaechea Cahuas, a disturbed individual in London, who through the Internet falsely accused Mr. Calero as a member of the "shining path". The New Flag is a non-profit publication that reports the events related to the democratic revolution and People's War led by the Communist Party of Peru (PCP).

Adolfo Olaechea Cahuas, a Peruvian aborigine, constantly refers to himself as "the greatest thinker since Marx" (?), but in reality he is nothing more than a mediocre scribbler and "acomplejado", anyone who disagrees with Olaechea Cahuas runs the risk of being automatically slandered as "police agent" or have one's name listed as "a terrorist" in Internet. This practice is also common in another individual, Luis Arce Borja, a partner and "compinche" of Olaechea Cahuas. Arce Borja also likes to portray himself as "the reporter of the century", and if one disagrees, then one is slandered as a "yankee secret weapon" without any single evidence. Olaechea and Arce perceive themselves as the owners of absolute truth, but at most they are crude reminders of Kamenev and Zinoviev. Now it is clear their role against Fujimori's "peace accord" and their participation in the struggle against CoRIMs revisionists were motivated by selfish interests and for self-promotion as "world leaders" (?). Now they have joined the sect MIM, an "international movement" which claims "there is nothing wrong with Fujimoris call for peace negotiations" (MIMs Sojourner, January 1995, p.2).

For the record it must be clarified that it was Ms. Janet Talavera, a proletarian reporter in El Diario-Lima, who took along the owner of the newspaper (Luis Arce Borja) to a meeting with President Gonzalo, the President of the Communist Party of Peru (PCP). At that meeting, in 1988, President Gonzalo responded to a number of questions from Janet Talavera, and this resulted in a special edition of "El Diario", it was titled "Interview with President Gonzalo". The fascist regime in Peru (under the pretext of "defending" human rights and freedom of the press) reacted in desperation and closed "El Diario"; Janet Talavera was imprisoned --and later killed in Canto Grande prison-- while Arce Borja was allowed in 1989 to travel abroad and settle in Bruxelles, Belgium, where he started another newspaper business under the name "Diario Internacional". Since then, because of his cravings for notoriety, L. Arce Borja over and over portrays himself as the sole author of the "Interview with President Gonzalo", actually he does not even call it that way, he calls it "The Report of the Century"; anybody can read Arce Borja's sophists texts and find his "reportaje del siglo" repeated over and over; he combines this with news from Peru, but it is all a cover to portray himself as the sole reporter of "the report of the century", this is his tricky way to promote himself as "the reporter of the century". Modesty and honesty are things Luis Arce Borja and Adolfo Olaechea Cahuas will never have.

Campbell deceives Campbell and nobody else. The evidence is quite clear, Campbell and "assistants" are indeed tracking, investigating, contacting, interrogating and harassing a number of people in their homes, and simply because these humble people read The New Flag. Is the USA the land of Liberty and Democracy? All cheap lies. One must ask, what is Campbell's motivation? Why does Campbell track, investigate, interrogate, harass and slander people's names in Internet? Does Campbell express support for the democratic revolution in Peru? of course not. Does Campbell express support for the Communist Party of Peru (PCP)? of course not. The "Toronto's Arts newspaper" is nothing more than a cover to track, investigate, interrogate, slander and harass any person who may show any sympathy for the people's revolutionary struggle in Peru.

Campbell is goofy enough to investigate every name that Olaechea Cahuas and Arce Borja manipulate in Internet. This "reporter" even makes reference to "libel in cyberspace"(!) Campbell and "company" may just get a taste of their own medicine, and not for "libel in cyberspace", rather for harassment of humble people in their homes. The federal laws against intelligence agencies interference in US domestic affairs and US population are quite clear. These investigators should re-read their own law books. It appears that Canada is being used as a base for counter-revolutionary activities. Surprise? No surprise, Canadian firms recently have made large investments in Peru, for example in July 1996 the Canadian companies Inmet Mining Corporation and Rio Algom Ltd. obtained the copper mines at Antamina (Ancash, central Peru) for the amount of US$ 20 million dollars and they project to invest US$ 2,520 million dollars more in the next five years (DESCO, Lima-Peru, July 18, 1996). The Canadian capitalists have been deceived by Fujimoris propaganda, there is no "peace" in Peru, rather, there is widespread poverty, misery, cholera, tuberculosis, repression, mass murders executed by Fujimoris armed forces, and the Peruvian working classes are combating against this with revolutionary PEOPLES WAR to serve their own social and political class interests; at present the Peoples Army and Peoples Front led by the PCP prepare the strategic counter-offensive and Conquest of Power Nationwide. Honest working class people in North America increasingly oppose Fujimoris crimes and support the peoples revolution, but the greedy capitalists and their governments once again attempt to repress any support for the Peoples War. It is all in vain, the capitalist monopolies are bound to lose every dollar of their invested capital; they should just get their money while they can and get out, even the Wall Street Journal in November 22, 1995, reports "Peru: Invest? Get Out!".

The text of "Toronto's Arts newspaper" is published as part of EYE WEEKLY and EYENET, but now it is clear whose EYE it is, the eye of a "reporter" in special mission. Campbell's manipulations are simply obscene, throwing unfounded allegations and ridiculous slanders against people who never had anything to do with EYENET in the first place. Has anyone met K.K. Campbell in person? that will be the day. Is Campbell a reporter? Is Campbell a private eye? An investigator? A friend of Olaechea Cahuas? A partner of the British intelligence officer Simon Strong? It is clear he is all of the above. And where was Campbell before? In addition to harassing people, Campbell's sudden appearance and recent obsessions twist and hide the truth. For instance, Campbell in "Toronto's Arts newspaper" portrays S.Strong as an "English journalist (author of a book on Peru)" and nothing more is added. Now, is it true that Strong is only an "author of a book"? Let us briefly see this in detail.

One of Fujimori's newspapers (La Republica, Lima-Peru, July 30, 1996) presents an article titled "Javier Esparza [the individual in Sweden] is pardoned by Fujimori's government because he cooperated and supported the call for peace accord". This announcement is hardly surprising, because most people know that Esparza works for Fujimoris call of "peace accords" since 1993; nevertheless, the article's main source of information is J. Esparzas personal acquaintance: Simon Strong, author of the recent publication "Shining Pathway: the most lethal subversive movement in the world". Here one can see that Strong is not just the "author of a book" on Peru. Simon Strong attempts to terrorize people and creates sensationalist propaganda for Fujimori's terrorist regime. It is well known that since the early 1980's the intelligence services in North America and Europe continuously slander the Communist Party of Peru (PCP) as "the shining pathway sect"; this farce is repeated over and over in the imperialist world media. The truth is that the so called "shining pathway" (sendero brilloso) only exists in the heads of intelligence officers, mercenary reporters and reactionary biased academics, that is the reason they are known as "senderologists". Therefore, Simon Strong is another senderologist who repeats old lies combined with new falsifications. Strong also selects and names Olaechea Cahuas and Arce Borja as "the two most important shining path leaders"; this is a boring repetition of Fujimori's propaganda which portrays Olaechea Cahuas and Arce Borja as "Ambassadors of the shining pathway". People know that Olaechea Cahuas and Arce Borja are not members of the Communist Party of Peru; let us ask: Who has elected and named Olaechea and Arce as "leading ambassadors of the shining pathway"? Only the senderologist Simon Strong and Fujimori's intelligence services. From this it becomes clear that Campbells allegation: "Simon Strong is author of a book on Peru", is a deceiving lie. Simon Strong is the author of slanders, falsifications and terrorist propaganda against the PCP and working class masses in Peru.

Why so much hate against the PCP? Because in practice the just and honest Communist Party of Peru (PCP) organizes and leads the working class masses (proletarians and peasants, mainly poor peasants) to serve their own class interests, to struggle for their own benefit in all aspects of life; and for this just cause, the corrupted Power of the landlord-capitalist dictatorship in Peru, mainly supported by US imperialism, is being demolished. At the same time, the People's New Power and the New People's Republic of Peru are being constructed, defended and developed. To defeat oppression and exploitation, to end hunger and misery, these are the great crimes that big bankers in Wall Street hate so much, because the NEW POWER leads to their doom, and it is inevitable.

K.K. Campbell in "Toronto's Arts newspaper" is not an isolated individual operating by itself without any explicit motivation; the international financial oligarchy, through their puppet bourgeois democratic governments, true capitalist dictatorships, cannot control and censor Internet, they are trying to, but they cannot do so. When censorship fails, they apply sabotage and slanders to coerce, harass, and repress humble people's right to free speech. This explains in part Campbell's actions; however, the real initiative comes from the top. In July 30, 1996, the governments of the Great 7 imperialist countries in the world (the G7) plus Russia met in Paris. As reported by the NY Times, Le Monde and every other newspaper controlled by the big bankers, the G7+1 approved a number of "anti-terrorist measures"; one principal measure is the control of Internet. The French minister De Charrete and the German K. Kinkel were the most concerned and explicit in calling for intervention and censorship in Internet, they call it "internal measures to prevent terrorism" (and they claim to defend human rights and free speech! ). The so called "terrorism" existed long before the Internet was created; thus, it is clear that in reality the big imperialist powers are now using every possible mean to prevent the main historical and political tendency in today's world: REVOLUTION!

The actions of the "Toronto's Arts newspaper" must be viewed in the above context, in relation to class struggle at the national and international levels. Campbell is a mercenary, and puts words in people's mouths; for instance, in addition to revealing another persons medical history, Campbell claims: "now he believes the NF is a fraud" or "now Mr.X hates the NF", which is no more than character manipulation to slander The New Flag. But Campbell fails. Who believes Campbell? Nobody.

Internet is an open system, of easy access but limited reach, because it is hardly available for most of the Third World where most people hardly have enough to eat, much less for computer terminals. The printed text has a wider reach over time and space, and it is more cost effective. In any case, not a single supporter of the People's War in Peru should be surprised if in the future another goofy "journalist" from some "Toronto's magazine of eclectic arts" suddenly becomes an expert of events in Peru and starts manipulating people's names for imaginary frauds. It is simply part of imperialist low intensity warfare being applied on home populations. The lies and crimes of the big capitalist bankers and their governments have no limits.

The sinister manipulations of foreign "reporters" continuously fail, and only lead to this: the international proletariat further strives to apply analysis and synthesis, principally synthesis, to counter-attack and crush imperialism's sinister campaigns. Should supporters of the People's War fear struggles? Not at all. After many battles, the international proletariat increasingly learns from the heroic People's War in Peru: OUR CENTER IS TO COMBAT, OUR DAILY LIFE IS WAR. MAOISM IS THE PROLETARIATS WEAPON OF VICTORY!

HONOR AND GLORY TO THE INTERNATIONAL PROLETARIAT!

SUPPORT THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF PERU (PCP)!

THE PEOPLE'S WAR IS INVINCIBLE!
