The Communist Party of Peru (PCP), a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist, Gonzalo Thought Party has continued to unleash the revolutionary war of the masses (People's War) to seize power.
While posing as "alternative,"other self-described phony "leftists" and "Marxist" groups in Peru participate in, and support parliamentary cretinism. Communists call such phonies "revisionists," because they "revise" Marxism by gutting its revolutionary soul, which is the conquest of power by the people and the proletariat.
A small revisionist group combines a degree of armed struggle with calls for "peace", "truces" and support of the parliamentary road. This is being done for the purpose of maintaining the exploitative system and undermining the advances of the People's War. This group is the MRTA, which is the armed revisionist group that has seized the Japanese embassy in Lima.
The MRTA (who previously has laid down its weapons) is following the typical reactionary line of using kidnaping as a bargaining chip for ransom and self-accommodation in the existing order. The MRTA and its call for talks with Fujimori (Peru's US-backed dictator) are being favorably portrayed and promoted not only in the imperialist media, but also in Peru's reactionary outlets. On the other hand, the PCP's political and military actions (throughout the entire country) carried out by the PCP, are completely blacked out from the news.
Supporters of the authentic revolution in Peru should be alert about the United States puppet regime in Peru that is using the MRTA siege at the Japanese embassy to step-up its vicious counter-revolutionary efforts against the People's War led by the Communist Party of Peru.
