May 17, 1998 marks the continuation of the PREPARATIONS FOR THE STRATEGIC OFFENSIVE THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CONQUEST OF POWER NATIONWIDE. This means further development of the People's War!
Fujimori's genocidal clique serving imperialism, mainly Yankee imperialism, and heading the landlord-capitalist dictatorship in Peru, dreams that it can recover positions against the revolution. But facts repeatedly confirm that the reactionaries are split. Their own internal conflicts weaken their diminishing political base. Various sectors of Peru's big bourgeoisie and the Catholic Church are now savoring the brutality of the regime. For instance, in the week of April 14, 1998, Delia Revoredo, a female judge of Peru's Supreme Court, appointed by the same tyrant after the military coup in 1992, asked for asylum in Lima's Costa Rican Embassy. The judge was under surveillance and constant harassment from SIN and SIE agents (political police controlled by the cocaine dealer and Fujimori's partner: Vladimiro Montesinos) because she opposed the regime's unconstitutional decrees, institutionalized corruption and widespread human rights' violations. In one of his most shameless "decrees," the puppet Fujimori confirmed himself as "qualified" to become "president" for a third term, when in fact his own fascist Constitution allows only two terms in office. This is the same "Constitution" imposed by the dictatorship after dismantling Peru's last Congress in 1992 through the "self-coup" directed by the CIA and the squeaky George Bush (Noriega's partner and loser of the Gulf War.) This shame "reelection" exposes even more the criminal regime of Fujimori, its blatant violations of the international law, and the fact that it steps on its own Constitution. Furthermore, on May 12, 1998, the bogus parliament controlled by the National Intelligence Services (SIN) granted the regime a "blank check" to issue any decree it wishes in the name of "national security." Then in order to distract public attention, they hastily fabricate "victories against subversion" and the "capture of top leaders of Sendero" (hoaxes and forgeries) to lure foreign investment, and maintain an already weakened support, which the regime still has from sectors of the big bourgeoisie, and the reactionary armed forces.
Fujimori announced over and over again that the so-called "Shining Path" will be defeated by 1995. Well, it is 1998 now and the People's War led by the Communist Party of Perú (PCP) is expanding and consolidating throughout Peru. Where are the "peace letters" and other crude fabrications such as "Gonzalo Surrenders and Asks for Peace?" They were lousy stinking scams that were crushed by the People's War. Even reactionary Generals such as Gen. Noel have acknowledged that "by capturing leaders we assumed that the problem was over. Now it turns out that things are not that way. We naively believed our own propaganda. There is much misery in the country . . . If a Sendero leader falls others will lead their fight. There are plenty of young people with Gonzalo Thought in their minds." And again, in 1998, puppet Fujimori vainly boasts of more "victories against subversion," but no one believes him anymore. As reported by Peruvian official papers on April 22, 1998, "Alberto Kenyo Fujimori has announced the capture of Pedro Quintero Ayllon, Comrade 'Luis', founder of Shining Path, and now the number two leader of red path, a sector separated from shining path four years ago. At the time, the imprisoned chief of terrorism, Abimael Guzman decided they were defeated and asked Fujimori for a peace process." As usual, the regime again appoints and publicizes who is the "number two" of the other "red path" that itself and his CIA handlers have created (how many numbers "2" does the PCP have?). It is all repetition of the absurd tale that "the PCP is contained and defeated." Since Fujimori has announced the "Shining Path's defeat in 1995," then according to him there exists "another path" today (a red pathway = Sendero Rojo). By playing with filthy words, Fujimori has converted the touted "Shining Path" into a "red path." All of this is garbage inoculated in Fujimori's head by his ventriloquist: the intelligence services. Who can possibly believe his self-defeating illusions? No one, except those dupes who collude with imperialism, such as the opportunist cheerleading pimps of Yankee revisionism (e.g., Bob Avakkkian) and the reactionaries (e.g., the piglets of MIM) , who are experts in sucking up the CIA's lies and forgeries to deceive, confuse, and sabotage the international supporters of the People's War. In this situation, Avakkkian's twists and turns in his "life and death hoaxes" can lead only to his own doom in the ranks of the RCP-USA and Co-RIM. More and more people are rallying to the call to defend the class interests of the international proletariat, and crush the Yankee and European revisionists.
Unfortunately for Fujimori and his Yankee imperialist masters on Wall Street, and for international revisionism, THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF PERU (PCP) WITHOUT INTERRUPTION, IS ADVANCING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CONQUEST OF POWER NATIONWIDE!
Today, more than ever, all honest and humble working people can feel love and happiness about the strength of the People's War, and be certain of the final victory, as the brilliant red flag is raised to a higher summit by the heroic working masses in Peru.
